Editor's note:Two years ago, at the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2022, President Xi Jinping first proposed the Global Security Initiative (GSI). As another global public good offered by China and a significant part of building a community with a shared future for humanity, the GSI seeks to eliminate the root causes of international conflicts, improve global security governance, encourage joint international efforts to bring more stability and certainty in a volatile and changing era, and promote durable peace and development in the world.
